Nowadays, Internet plays an important role in our daily life. It seems to us that the Internet is a powerful tool that presents an opportunity for the advancement of the acquisition and application of knowledge. We can shop, bank, work and communicate without leaving home. The whole world becomes a united society and we can learn more about other countries. On the contrary, many people who are addicted to the Internet play computer games and communicate with strangers. It is harmful to their health and become isolated from each other.

First of all, with the development of technology, many people do their work at home though the Internet. So, they seldom go out meeting with other people, becoming distanced from others. As a human being, we live in our society, communicate with others and join in many social activities. If you are always surfing the Internet you will feel lonely and depressed.

Secondly, the Internet is a virtual world, and you may find some bad information.

A great deal of bad information stays in your mind, so it probably skews your adjustment and sense of reality. You may find it is difficult to get along with others and live better in a real society. You will feel disappointed at the real life so your friends and relatives will live far away from you.

In a word, the Internet has two sides. We can learn the latest news, do homework and keep touch with friends. However, it also alienates others, and lives far away from society. So we must use the Internet in a proper way.
